01 Introduction
PoseUP (“PoseUP”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a mobile application that helps you find pose references and overlay them in your camera so you can nail every shot. PoseUP is operated by Oblix Apps LLC.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. By using PoseUP, you agree to the practices described here.
We designed PoseUP with privacy in mind: your camera feed and photos stay on your device during normal use. We do not upload your live camera feed or captured photos to our servers while you use the app.
02 Information we collect
Depending on how you use PoseUP, we may collect or process the following types of information:
- Camera access. PoseUP requests access to your device camera to display the ghost pose overlay in real time. The camera feed is processed locally on your device. We do not transmit your live camera feed to our servers.
- Photos you capture. Photos you take using PoseUP are saved locally on your device and, if you choose, to your own photo library through your operating system. We do not upload your personal photos to our servers.
- Saved and bookmarked poses. Poses you save or bookmark within the app are stored locally on your device (for example, in on-device storage). This data is not synced to our servers unless you explicitly use a future cloud feature we announce separately.
- Subscription and purchase data. If you subscribe to PoseUP PRO, payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store (or Google Play when available). We do not receive or store your credit card number or full payment details. We may receive subscription status information from Apple (such as whether your subscription is active) to unlock PRO features.
- Analytics and diagnostics. We may collect limited, anonymized or aggregated usage data to understand how the app is used and to fix bugs — for example, which screens are opened, session length, and crash reports. This may include data provided through Apple’s App Store Connect analytics and crash reporting tools. We do not currently use third-party analytics platforms such as Firebase Analytics or Mixpanel. If we introduce additional analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy.
- Device information. We may collect standard technical information such as your device model, operating system version, app version, language, and general region. This helps us maintain compatibility and improve performance.
03 How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide core app features, including the pose library, camera overlay, and saved poses
- Process and validate PRO subscriptions through Apple
- Improve app performance, fix crashes, and develop new features
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your photos or camera feed for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles from your app activity.
05 Data retention
- On your device: Saved poses, bookmarks, and photos remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- Subscription records: Apple retains purchase and subscription records according to Apple’s policies. We retain only the minimum subscription status data needed to provide PRO access.
- Analytics and crash data: Aggregated analytics and crash reports are retained for as long as needed to improve the app, typically up to 24 months, after which data is deleted or anonymized.
- Support emails: If you contact us, we keep correspondence for up to 3 years to resolve issues and maintain records of our communications.
06 Children's privacy
PoseUP is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hi@oblixapps.com and we will take steps to delete it.
07 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
European Economic Area (EEA) and UK users (GDPR): If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the rights listed above under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing includes performing our contract with you (providing the app), legitimate interests (improving and securing the app), and compliance with legal obligations. To exercise your rights, email hi@oblixapps.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Much of your data (photos, saved poses, camera use) is stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time by removing saved content in the app or uninstalling PoseUP.
08 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page. For material changes, we may notify you through the app or by other appropriate means. Continued use of PoseUP after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
